The Book of Eli (2010)

The Book of Eli (2010) (4 out of 5 Graves)

Denzel Washington plays the calm and collected Eli, travelling through a post apocalyptic world were the basics are hard to come by.  Food and water are scarce, and the desperate have turned to cannibalization as a last resort.

Eli wanders into a feudal town controlled by Gary Oldman’s Carnegie, a ruthless but idealistic leader who wants the book that Eli has in his possession in the belief that he can organize the remnants of society to him with its preachings.

Eli has the strength of his faith and his convictions, making him a truly dangerous man.

Definitely on the highly recommended list with 4 out of 5 graves.

Great movie. Loved the scene in the bar where he pulls out the blades.
