Hitman (4 Out of 5 Graves)
So i was watching this movie for about the seventh time while running on my treadmill – (Cardio is so awfully important when your running for your life) – when I realized I’d never written it up.
This surprised me because it is one of my all time favorite movies. I know I’ll get some crap for that statement, but this movie delivers exactly on what it promises. I ordered a cheesburger medium well, and the cheese is oozing out and the meat is hot and juicy, but still red in the middle.
This is the movie that if I’m flipping channels and I catch a glimpse, I will just leave it on. It’s got great fighting scenes, strong characters, and it follows its own rules throughout the movie.
At first your going to think its just an action movie, but then you start to realize that the director actually put a lot of care into stringing everything together so it made sense for Number 47 to do the things he was doing. Timothy Olyphant kicks ass, playing the role of Number 47 perfectly, letting small facial expressions carry huge weight, but never overdoing it.
And Nika (Olga Kurylenko) is just so damn hot, and yet sweet at the same time. She has that rare mix of traits, both visual and affect, that leave you wondering how such a “bad” girl can seem so truly good at heart.
I highly recommend you catch “The Hitman” the next time it runs.
