Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #2)

Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse, #2)Living Dead in Dallas by Charlaine Harris

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I’m not sure if its time or the fact that I just re-read this, but I actually kicked my five down to a four.

It almost seemed like the book had two stories in it, which would be fine, but they weren’t really connected in any way. The body ends up in Andy’s car – and then Sookie gets attacked. After that they go to Dallas and and the first story get’s put on hold until they get back, and then that comes to a conclusion.

I guess it just felt a little disjointed. Still, I am looking forward to starting book three. I can remember bits and pieces of the story and am looking forward to refreshing my friendship with Sookie.

In comparison to the Night Huntress series, I’d say the books are a bit better written but compete in a more advanced playing field. So while the Night Huntress books might have overall better scores they are graded on a simpler scale.
