For the twenty-first day of my 25 Undead Christmas presents I want a pack of TAC-Wedges.
These are one of my favorite survival tools. They are lightweight, and will seal a door closed (or open) whenever you need to make sure that door is not going to move. But be warned, once in place, you can’t remove it without a sledge to shatter the actual device.
It has four steel teeth on the back end that will bite into concrete, marble, vinyl, (pretty much any surface) and lock the door in place after you kick this thing home. After that, you either just sealed the door closed or made sure you have a path out. You can also set it into a door sideways between its hinges to make sure it stays open, and that has the advantage of not sealing the door open permanently.
And they are light weight, so you can strap one or two to every members pack when you go out scavenging. You never know when your going to have to shut a door between you and an undead horde.
Just remember, with this in place the door isn’t going to be opened, but if there is enough weight behind the attack, the door frame might fail. The TAC-Wedge is only going to keep the door from opening, it does not turn a light weight interior door into a steel plated vault door.
