Low Wages – High Profits

My father worked a union job and bought a house and a car.  Me and my wife work two jobs requiring a college education – and then some – and will struggle to put our kids through college, all while our house has lost value.

But its okay because corporations are showing record profits. So I guess that is good.

Trickle down is a lie!!!! Tax the rich, Tax the wealthy corporations. Raise the minimum wage! That is a tide that will lift all boats.

Saturday Movie – The Bourne Identity (2002)

The Bourne Identity is this weeks Saturday movie.

This is one of my favorite action movies of all times. Matt Damon plays Jason Bourne perfectly. He is strong but quiet, tough but sensitive. He wakes up on a boat in the middle of the ocean, not sure who he is or who he got there.

From the first moment of the movie to the last minutes, it is action packed. I can’t think of another movie that does close in action as well as The Bourne Identity. The action is smooth and clean and Matt Damon is completely believable as he takes apart his enemies piece by piece.

And then Marie (Franka Potente) comes into the picture and things really heat up. I love the chemistry between Marie and Jason. Their love is the perfect balance to all the kick assness in the rest of the movie. If you are a die hard romantic like me, stop here, don’t watch the second movie in the series.
