I will always remember the first time I drank Gentlemen Jack. My brother, sister, and her husband rented a cabin on Lake George in New York and my brother in law brought a bottle of Gentlemen Jack for us to share. We had a great time until a mouse decided he wanted to share our macaroni and cheese one night. I was outside getting a fire started in a fire pit when I heard screaming. It sounded like someone was murdering my wife and sister. I went running into the kitchen to find my brother in law screaming at the top of his lungs because of the mouse.
Good times.
We drank a bottle of Gentlemen Jack that night and it became my regular go to on Friday nights. A glass of coke and a good pour of Gentlemen Jack made the end of the week all the better.
Overall, this is a 65/100. A decent whiskey, but still limited to the realm of mixers in my book.
Pros
- Easy to find.
- Not that expensive compared to premium brands.
- Great for mixers.
Cons:
- Smoother than Jack, but still too rough around the edges to drink straight.
