Eagle Rare 10 Year Old Bourbon was one of the first bourbons that made me stop and really appreciate what a good bourbon felt like on my pallet. If you are new to whiskey and want to drink something that tastes way more expensive than it is.
This is a go to for me, so don’t let the 75/100 score make you think anything other than that this is a great whiskey. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a 90, so I’m trying to keep my options open for the future.
- A bargain when you can find it for between $30 and $40.
- Wonderful mouth feel with a hint of spice, orange peel, and oak.
- Not always in stock.
- It is so good once I open the bottle it doesn’t last very long. (Is that a con?)
