60 MIN CHALLENGE – DAY 63

Still feeling good with my 60 minute challenge workouts. I ramped up a tenth of a mile every tenth of a mile until I hit 2.7 mph and then stayed there for rest of workout.

My physical therapist also recommended one of these Stretch Straps to help me stretch so I added it to my routine.

I finish my walk, do a few minutes of standing stretches, mostly trying to touch my toes. I’m touching my knees with my fingertips, so my latest back issues cost me about two inches of range of motion. Just before my latest issue I was able to get my palms on my knees.

After that I lay on the floor and do leg stretches, one at a time with the Stretch Straps.

I’ve added “cross crunches” in based on my therapists suggestions, to help strengthen my core. I lie on my back with my knees up, and kind of do a crunch while reaching my hand across and touching the opposite knee.

Why do I post about my health on a Zombie Blog? Well, I’m not going to be able to fight off the undead very well if I can’t walk or get around.

It also keeps my motivated, because knowing that if even one person sees it keeps me going in a weird way. Plus, its my blog and I’ll do what I want.
