CZ 75 Range Day 5

I took my oldest boy out today to shoot the CZ75. He’d shot the .22 before, but it was his first day shooting a 9mm.

We started with basic loading. He struggled a little with it at first:

Once he started to get it he shot his first two clips, and ran into a small issue.

His very first shot after I put up the “long tall” target was at the very bottom of the paper. this allowed him to walk the rounds up the target and realize how small correcting make a huge impact on what your aiming a handgun at at 15 yards.

He fired his last round at the original target and did much better. It was nice to see how a little practice and feedback helped him go from mostly missing the target completely to being able to see them hitting close enough to give corrective feedback.2014_June_7_RangeDay_Pic4

As for me, I am consistently a hair low and to the left because I am over-correcting for my trigger pull that lifts high to the right.2014_June_7_RangeDay_Pic3
