60 MIN CHALLENGE – DAY 125

Thanks to being so busy I didn’t log my workout last week, I accidentally repeated my 3.1 mph 21/30 workout, but I did make it to my 22/30 today and finished it. I had some fatigue in my lower back which kept me from doing my regular post workout crunches, and my legs hurt from exertion. I plan on taking Monday off and attempting my 23/30 workout on Tuesday.

60 MIN CHALLENGE – DAY 124

It was a crazy week at work and I missed several workouts this week, which I’m sure I’m going to pay for tomorrow when I get on the scale for my weekly weigh in, but all I can do is keep going.

Today I completed my 3.1 mph cycle 21/30. Just 9 more cycles and I go up to 3.2 mph and drop back to 60 minutes.

I definitely feel these workouts as they get longer. My lower back aches a bit once I get to the 75 minute mark or so and the day after sometimes leaves me limping a little. Some of that is actual muscle pain in my legs from pushing the distance, and some of that is just my lower back.

Here’s to hoping I’m in good shape tomorrow so I can complete cycle 22. And I just realized that I did cycle 21 twice because I forgot to log my workout on the 20th. Oh well.

I completed my 3.1 mph workout 21/30, so just 9 more workouts to go before I increase my speed to 3.2 mph and start over at 60 minutes.

Overall felt good today, but work and eating have been bad this week. Lots of hours, stress, and that means I’ve been eating like crap. Not carbs, but soup and cheese aren’t really keto.

I took Friday off because (and I know this is an excuse) because it was a long 65 week and I was mentally exhausted, so at five when the quitting bell rang I cracked open my bottle of pre made On The Rocks Knob Creek Old Fashioned and had a drink. I just didn’t have the willpower to get on the treadmill.

But, today I did, and I revved to my 19/30 3.1 mph cycle which means a went for 79 minutes in total.

Feeling good so far, time to make dinner.

I finally got to work out today after taking off the last two days. I didn’t want to take off, but I had two 16 hour work days, and by the end of it all I could do was go to sleep and wake up to go back to work. Which why today is my first workout of the workweek.

Over, I felt good on my 18/30 3.1 mph cycle. My feet hurt, but no back pain beyond what I normally have, which means aches and minor pain but no nerve pain.

I’ve been really strict with my diet this week, so I’m hoping that carries me over my weekly weight loss goal for this weekends weigh in.

Today was day 16/30 on my 3.1 mph cycle. Yes, that is confusing, but what I started doing was to increase my duration by 1 minute per workout, up to 30 minutes before increasing my max speed by 1/10th of a mph.

Why?

Because I have really severe OCD and I need to have some progression when I work out or my brain starts itching. It’s hard to describe if you haven’t suffered from it.

My step up continues, and I have sixteen more steps until I reset back to 60 minutes and max my speed out at 3.2 mph.

So far, so good. I do have some ghost pain in my right leg now and then while walking, but no fiery nerve pain, so I’m taking that as a win.

I did also read an article today that says you need to work out for 60 minutes per day, every day to lose weight – and that does jive with what I of my own weight loss. I guess I need to step it up if I’m going to make my weight goal of 225 lbs. this year.
