My son Ryan was ready to move up from his 20 gauge to a 12.
So even though his birthday is months away he got an early, early birthday present.
I looked around and was hoping to get a Franchi Affinity Compact 12G, but it was going to be anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months to get one. The dealer had no idea where the shipment was, it could have been on a dock in Europe, or a mile from its U.S. port destination.
So I bit the bullet and got him a file size 12. The Franchi Affinity is light, and it feels even lighter than its 5.9 lbs when its in your hands. And cleaning it is a breeze since it is an inertia driven gun. Its my first non gas semi, and I have to say I’m not sure I’ll ever go back. Not having to scrub gas ports and the mag well of burnt carbon is a relief!
My son picked the gun up and was hitting clays in his first few shots.
Let me know if you have any questions about the Franchi Affinity in the comments.
