Nicholas Cage = Vampire

So the rage the last few days on the interwebs has been the exciting and interesting bit of news that a real life vampire has been found.  Apparently, this picture from the civil war has been discovered, showing Nicholas Cage in an earlier age.

Indispituable proof I’m sure you will agree. Oh wait, except for that fact that we have pictures of Nicholas Cage growing up and there is the 1981 sitcom footage of him in “Best of Times”.  So Either he is a vampire, or you’re just an idiot who will believe anything.  Which, if that is the case, please send me a shoebox full of cash and I’ll promise I won’t send evil death waves your way through the interwebs.

Death Valley Season 1, Episode 5

Episode  5, Zombie Fights

It’s a nursing home, not a zombie infested hospital you jerk.

I was a bit worries after last weeks episode, but “Zombie Fights” delivered the goods, thanks to Bryan Callen for the most part. He get’s multiple solid laughs throughout the show.

Things I loved about this episode…

  • It’s not important who did this, so I feel totally comfortable saying it was “Jon-Jon”
  • Zombie Fights – It sounds disgusting and completely debased. I’d like to see one. Bryan Callen brings the laughs.
  • A gentleman’s bet.
  • Kirsten always ends up with one cheek hanging out when she buys cheap underwear. She’s so hot.
  • I wish nothing but bad things on all of you – drive safe.
  • Carla in the bar, nice shirt, and nice kiss. I think she likes Kirsten. I hope she likes Kirsten. Please have it on tape MTV.
  • Captain Dashell and his uber gay goodbye speech.

Things that I didn’t like about this episode…

  • Poor Jon-Jon.
  • Poor Stubeck gets the shit kicked out of him.
  • The episode made up for last week, so not much to complain about.

Everything Must Go (2010)

Everything Must Go  (3 Out of 5 Graves)

What are you to do on a weekend night when your significant other isn’t feeling well and your looking for something to do.  Why, you go to iTunes and look for something that looks interesting.

We are both Will Ferrell Fans, and given that the movie got decent reviews we thought it was a no brainer. Will Ferrel delivers the goods, but this movie was so badly advertised it gets a punch in the nuts which drops its score from what would have been a 4 to a 3.

The problem was that it was billed as a comedy/drama.  But there was very little comedy in it.  It was a good movie, but I wouldn’t have felt betrayed if they just called it a drama.  There are multiple times wehre Will Ferrell gives an awesome performance, but I keep waiting for a punchline that doesn’t come.  He plays it straight, and does an awesome job at it.  It just wasn’t what we were expecting.

It doesn’t help that while he is an amazing actor, the subject matter is pretty damn sad.  It is just not very uplifting.  Next time call it a drama and don’t piss me off.

Irish Zombies

Remains in Kilteasheen, near Loch Key were found with large stones jammed into their mouths.  The eigth century dig site is believed to show the evidence of the locals fear that the dead would return to walk the lands.  They believed that by jamming rocks into the mouths of the fallen it would keep them from coming back.

I guess they didn’t have shotguns back then.
