Saturday Movie – Ice Pirates (1984)

This Saturdays movie, Ice Pirates, is a classic. It’s campy, funny, and brings back a ton of memories from my lost youth. The special effects aren’t state of the art, but if anything it makes the movie more enjoyable. It takes me back to simpler times and the humor is timeless. And Ice Pirates has everything. The galaxy is running short on water, and those in power will do anything to keep it that way.

Princesses being kidnapped and rescued…

Near robotic castrations…

Space herpes…

And it even has the future Hellboy as a quasi gay chef/space pirate.

So if you are looking for a throwback movie that will make you laugh Ice Pirates is your movie for this Saturday night.
