For those of you out there complaining that we aren’t being tough enough on Russia over theĀ Ukraine Crimea, please explain something to me.
What does it really change? Russia had for all intents and purposes a permanent lease on the naval base there. Russia wanted to make sure that if Ukraine sided more closely with the EU, that the Sevastapol Naval Base would not be shuttered to them.
So strategically this makes no difference to us, they don’t get more ability than what they had.
Are you going to start WWIII over the status quo?
