Leave reloading a lever action like this to actors in movies. Chambering a new round like this is just asking for trouble. You are putting stress on the sight mounts in ways they weren’t designed to handle, and of course there is the fact that you risk an accidental discharge while the gun is pointing somewhere other than downrange.
