Boom – Round Goes Off
Yeah, glad that wasn’t in my pocket…
Bad Gun Handling – Skateboard Recoil
Hmm, that’s a range violation.
How many times do I have to say it? Guns aren’t toys.
This could have ended up with someone badly injured or killed, and for what? A cool video?
The Walking Dead (Season 8, Episode 3)
Summary:
Monsters begins pretty much where Episode 2 left off. The saviors have been called back and Ezekiel is ready to fight. We see a glimpse of Ezekiel and Carol leading the Saviors into a cross fire.
Meanwhile Rick is still at gunpoint, and getting dialogued while the gunfight outside has grown more chaotic. The dead are starting to rise and the Saviors defending the building are now caught between two opposing forces.
As Team Ezekiel takes out one garrison Rick chats for a while before Daryl saves him and it turns into a run and gun when the Savior reinforcements show up, at least until they get pinned down and run out of ammo.
Back at Hilltop Gregory returns and plays off Maggie’s humanity, begging to be allowed in – which Maggie falls for. Just about then Jesus and Tara show up with their prisoners.
Back at the armory Team Rick has won and does some clean up as Rick takes some polaroids.
As they are rolling out someone takes a shot at Rick.
Things I loved about this episode…
- Ezekiel’s opening dialog which turned into a double trap, cross trap, cross fire, killing extravangza.
- Zombie head bite blood splatter spray awesomeness.
- Daryl killing the guy who gave up to Rick.
Things that I didn’t like about this episode…
- The overlong dialogue between Rick and his old buddy from Season 1.
- The fake moral issues around killing saviors. Just kill them.
- Maggie letting Gregory in.
- The Browning machine gun cutting down Team Ezekiel at the end of the episode.
Firsts…
- We see a Browning 50 caliber used against Team Ezekiel.
