Thanks to the staff out at M&M for making the opening weekend fun and safe.
My friend and his son in law met me out and we started out on the “easy” course as we had all felt rusty after a long summer without any real clay shooting.
Round 1 – Easy Round:
The first round results left me in the lead at 41, Vaughn in second with 32, and Sean in third with a 30. Vaughn and I (as the “old” guys) were very happy we both beat Sean. Unfortunately the celebration ended really soon.
Round 2 – Hard Round:
On the second round Vaughn and I got spanked. Sean took the show with a 32, I came in a distant second with a 19, and Vaughn was in third with a 10. In our defense it was quite windy and the hard course has some really fast clays flying pretty far out there. All I can say is I am looking forward to more practice and doing better on the advanced course.
