Weatherproof Notebook

Back when I was younger I would have killed for one of these Weatherproof Notebooks. I remember being on a hiking trip in the rain and snow and back then I carried a little notebook that I would jot down ideas and notes. Pencils work great even when wet, but I had a normal old notebook because two decades ago I couldn’t afford a Weatherproof Notebook, and honestly, didn’t even know they existed back then.

Today, these Weatherproof Notebooks are a critical piece of Hidden Survival Gear. If I need to write a note or let someone else on my team know that plans changed, I don’t have to worry about the weather destroying the message. It’s a small detail, but one that could mean life or death for the people who are supposed to be following me. I can write my note, tack it on the trail at eye level, and continue to move on.
