Thankfully this Ferro Rod Fire Starter is a safe and easy way to make sure you always have the tools needed to start a Fire regardless of the weather.

My personal experience is that this Ferro Rod is all around better than matches and lighters. When you get a good spark off the Rod it is super hot. This Rod can create a spark that is 3,000 °F to 6,000 °F. Compare that with a match flame which is 600 °F to 800 °F. You see how having this Ferro Rod in wet and windy weather is better than matches.

When it comes to durability, you’d have to have 15,000 matches to be able to start the same number of fires as this Ferro Rod. If you want something that is water poof and can last a long time you can’t go wrong with this Ferro Rod.
