I have to say that this is the first Pope in a long time that I’ve liked. I’m not religious, but Pope Francis actually makes me stop and listen because of this moral message, which I can actually agree with on many fronts because I think it is the right thing to do.
What I love is how the super right who always point to religion as a guideline are flipping out now that the message has something to do with cash money. Listen to how they bicker and fight and try to distance themselves from the words that Pope Francis said. Somehow it goes from taxation to abortion.
Then it becomes a threat – if the Pope wants to help the poor he should pay taxes on the churches money! I actually agree with this, but not because of a threat, I just think everyone should pay, including all corporations – not just those that don’t have the cash to pay off the hill.
