It was like summer out today when I headed over to shoot my new (to me) revolver. This is the view as you drive in, which makes me really want to hit the lottery and buy a house on a lake somewhere.

 

But anyway, on to the shooting. I could’t resist when I found a Smith & Wesson 64 for $200 bucks. The stainless steel is a little beat up but the lock up is tight and the cylinder has almost no wear lines from being turned. Oh, and it has an ID etched into it from the rental range where it was apparently passed up on a regular basis for semi autos. Well, it is my gain now.

I’ll post some pictures – the ones I took today under the awning were too dark to use. I ended up putting a hundred rounds through the S&W 64 and an equal number through my CZ-75.  As you can see, I still drag to the left.  When I get that corrected I’ll be truly dangerous.

The right wants to give money back to the ultra wealthy while at the same time punishing the ultra poor – as if it is their fault they can’t survive on a minimum wage job.

Scary crap when you realize some of the largest corporations in America get money back while paying no taxes while I pay 40% of my gross income out in federal, state, and property taxes.

The right wing loves to try and push for privatization of Social Security so their rich 1%er friends can make a buck off a massively successful and needed program. You want to make sure Social Security is solvent forever?

It is easy and can be done with one small change in the tax laws.

REMOVE THE CAP!

Why is there a cap on which earnings get taxed for Social Security? Because the rich don’t “get the utility” of SSI because they are less likely to need it?

What a crock. Is that how taxes really work?

I pay into funds that pay for the military and can make a huge argument that not only do my poor and middle class brothers and sisters actually serve in it – but that the rich by far get the most utility out of the security the military provides. Based on this the rich should pay a much large % of their income in the form of federal taxes.

How about highways and roads. I drive less than 10 miles to work. How much of my money has gone to federal infrastructure projects and bridges? Do I move millions of lbs of goods over those roads?

Keep your hands off social security and remove the cap.  Call your state representatives. We can still save this great nation of ours.

I guess on the one hand I understand the allure of shooting big guns, but it has to be tempered with the ability to know your limits as well as a high level of supervision.

This guy was lucky he got away with a bruised collar bone. He could have been hurt.

Worst surgeon ever…

Pat Robertson is a traitor. Plane and simple. He is saying that a sitting U.S. president is trying to overthrow our government because he has “drank pretty heavily from the cool aid as they say.”  How is this not slander?

If the right had one single ounce of proof that Obama was trying to undermine our great nation they would impeach him. But they don’t, so they just keep throwing mud.

It is disgusting. Have some balls and at least attack the man on policies and things that matter. Versus yelling “Muslim Boogeyman”.
