Modern windows are relatively easy for a burglar to get through even when they are locked. If you are like me and need to leave the window cracked to get some air, security gets even more problematic. That is where these Lock-It Block-It security sticks come in. You have two choices. For temporary use I stick a bit of Velcro on the Lock-It Block-It and another bit on the window frame. That makes them perfect for all types of travel. Secure the windows without leaving any permanent marks. For permanent installation I use a screw.
Sure, a persistent burglar could still get in, but you’re going to scare off all the thief’s who aren’t really motivated, and more important, your going to buy yourself time to react.
I also love how these slide into each other. They aren’t tiny, but they are small enough to travel with so I can lock my sliding glass door at the hotel, especially if I am on the ground floor. It’s nice to be next to water, but I hate that feeling of being so exposed to everyone walking by.
These are also great to lock the window down on a window air conditioner. That makes me feel safer that pets and children won’t find themselves falling out the window.
