Bad Gun Handling – Shoot My Balloon
Look, I get it, your a trained shooter (who still missed his first shot).
You think you are at the top of your game.
Even if you are a Navy Seal, Army Ranger, Ninja, I don’t care. You could hurt or killed your target stand.
That is bad.
What is worse is that you put the thought into less well trained peoples minds that this might be feasible. That is super bad.
Be responsible, shoot safe.
Bad Gun Handling – The Old William Tell Shot
I know, this is a stage photo.
That weapon was probably unloaded and double checked.
But maybe she picked up the rifle right next to it?
You never know, and it has happened.
Guns aren’t toys. Don’t treat them like they are…
Bad Gun Handling – Safe Shooting
Sure this might look cool, but the guy filming that could have been killed if the shooter had lost control for even a half second.
Don’t make all us responsible shooters look bad, shoot safely, shoot responsibly, and if you are going to be a meathead, for god’s sake don’t film it!
Peanut Butter And Jam
I have to be honest, stovepipe is my least favorite Jam…
Creepy – Human Bindings
I wonder how many people touched these and didn’t know…
Solar Eclipse Today
Be careful out there today.
Link to Nasa’s Solar Eclipse Safety Page.
I plan on hiding inside a movie theater all day in case this turns into Night Of The Comet.
Bad Gun Handling – Sweeping The Line
This is just saw dangerous. They don’t have anything in front of them to put their weapons on, and that means when he gets a hot shell casing down his back he has no choice but to turn with a weapon in his hand.
Be safe. Bring a bench and weapons flags. If the gun is on the bench, the flag should be blocking the chamber. Then you can jump around all you want…
Bad Gun Handling
Why people? Why?
Don’t hand a new shooter a 12G with a pistol grip.
It will turn that shooter off from the joy of shooting, and could hurt someone.
Be smart, be responsible out there….
Bad Gun Handling – Trigger Discipline
So what did he do wrong? He puts his finger on the trigger while he’s not pointing downrange. If that building had a concrete or steel roof that round could have ricocheted and hurt someone.
Remember:
- Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
- Know your target and what is beyond.
- Know how to use the gun safely.
- Be sure the gun is safe to operate.
- Use only the correct ammunition for your gun.
- Wear eye and ear protection as appropriate.
- Never use alcohol, over-the-counter drugs or prescription drugs before or while shooting.
- Store guns so they are not accessible to unauthorized persons.
