Bad Gun Handling – Doggy Style

Doggy Style is not cool when it comes to handling AKs. Clearly that is way too much weapon. It is Bad Gun Handling. I would start him out with a much smaller caliber than 7.62.

No matter how much they beg, its never okay to let your pets use your firearms.

In all seriousness though. Guns are not props for photos. It might look cute, or funny, but it sends the wrong message. Guns are not toys.

Bad Gun Handling – Asking For Trouble

Shoving a firearm down the back of your swimsuit is Asking For Trouble and is Bad Gun Handling. They make holsters for a reason!

This could so easily end up in tragedy. If she goes to grab that firearm and it snags on the elastic she could end up with a graze wound across a cheek or worse. Hopefully no on is standing behind her (and is distracted) when she decides to whip that thing out.

She better center that semi auto and hope that if she has an accidental discharge it goes between her cheeks.

It is never a good idea to put a gun down your pants (or bathing suite). Get a holster!!!

Bad Gun Handling – Gun In Pants

Do not put a Gun In Pants! This is what holsters were made for. Sticking a firearm directly into your pocket or pants is Bad Gun Handling! I’ve seen so many clips of accidental discharges when the person doing this tries to pull the weapon out quickly.

Yeah, that’s why they make holsters. At least its a revolver so she’s less likely to accidentally shoot herself, but still…

Bad Gun Handling – Boom

When a gun goes Boom it is not good for anyone nearby. This is just scary. I hope the shooter is okay. Very scary!

This scares the hell out of me.

I don’t know exactly what caused this, so I’m sorry if this turned out to be a freak accident due to bad gunsmithing or commercial ammo manufacturing.

So why did I include it here. Because there are a few causes that are more likely, and those are all user associated.

Did he set it barrel down? Is there debris stuck in the barrel?

Did he load is own ammo and was it over pressure?

Is the weapon well maintained? Is this the 100,000th round and the gun’s never been cleaned?

The bottom line, be careful so things like this are less likely to happen to you.

Bad Gun Handling – Eyes & Ears People!!!

It is not safe to shoot without Eyes & Ears People! Wear safety glasses. Put on ear protection. Trust me you will thank me! I’ve seen brass ricochet off nearby objects and come back at the shooter. I’ve also seen brass come back at an odd angle directly at my face. Maybe the round was outside spec or maybe it was the wind. The point is not having eye protection may result in a severe injury. Wear safety gear!

Please be careful out there. Eyes and ears should be worn every time you shoot!

Bad Gun Handling – Why Risk It

Why Risk It? Why would you ever point a gun at your face like that? Take the weapon apart so the barrel and the trigger group are separate!

I think there are a ton of other ways to film this and examine the site picture without putting a gun in perfect alignment to your head. The only way I’m looking at a barrel is if its outside the weapon.

Sure, he probably cleared this gun, but you really should treat every firearm as if its loaded, all the time. If you need to examine a weapon like this, disassemble it so there is no way it can go off.

It only takes one moment of confusion to end in a tragedy.

Be safe out there people.

Bad Gun Handling – Too Much Kick

Firing a weapon with Too Much Kick can leave you with a cut on your forehead or worse. Bigger isn’t always better! I’d much rather have a shoot enjoy the day at the range instead of being scared to handle a firearm.

That looks like it hurt, and scared the pee out of him.

Don’t hand a new shooter a high powered hand gun.

It’s not going to end well.

Be save out there.

Bad Gun Handling – Cracked Skull

How is getting a Cracked Skull going to help this shooter learn to love the sport. Don’t hand new shooters weapons they can’t handle!

I don’t understand why people continue to hand weapons to shooters who don’t have the experience to handle them. That Cracked Skull could need stitches or could have put out an eye. Whoever handed that weapon to that girl didn’t do her any favors.

It’s bad for the shooter and all the rest of us.

Bad Gun Handling – 12G Pain

12G Pain is real and it is no fun! Why would you hand a new shooter a weapon that might hurt them? Don’t do it!

This is just bad, look at her face after she pulls that trigger. She’s in 12G Pain, and that just sucks.

To be clear, this isn’t her fault. She never should have been handed a 12G as a new shooter, and clearly she’s a new shooter, look at how she holds that weapon.

The butt isn’t on her shoulder and she’s not leaning into the kick.

Poor girl…

Bad Gun Handling – Masks And The Range

Masks And The Range do not go together. Not when the mask is a horses head. You need good visibility when shooting! I vote Neigh on this one.

First Strike:

Wearing something that restricts your vision like a horse mask while holding a loaded weapon just doesn’t make sense.

Second Strike:

Firing into a target at close range. Shrapnel anyone?

Third Strike:

No ear protection. I put an arrow on it to prove it:
