This Solar Panel Starter Kit is perfect for every off grid location. It is small, relatively cheap in the grand scheme of things, and means I can power up critical gear. What good is having a nice GPS unit if you can’t keep it powered up for when you need it? Same with phones.

I love how this Solar Panel Starter Kit is so flexible. I can use it for my off grid cabin or use it on my boat, RV, or any other vehicle I can mount it on. This means I can charge phones, radios, and even string some LED Lights up, and trust me you will need them. Most of us are not used to being outside when its gets dark, and it will be dark, very dark after a catastrophic disaster.

Regardless of where you set up this Solar Kit it means you are going to have power. That means you can string up LED Lights. Have you ever tried to cook or clean a gun by firelight? It’s not easy and its not fun. Especially if you drop something. Lights mean you can cook, clean weapons, or do other maintenance tasks after dark. It also means you can turn on the lights if something goes bump in the night around you. Much better to know its a possum than something that wants to kill you.

Clip On Visor Light

This Clip On Visor Light makes any Ball Cap into a headlamp. That means I can use both hands to do whatever needs doing. I keep one in my toolbox, another in my vehicle, and one more with my camping gear. They are perfect for those times there isn’t enough light and your task requires both hands to get the job done. I have a shed out in the woods and its too far for me to run electric too, making this light really useful when I need to go find some tool or bit of gear I haven’t used in a year (or ten).

When it comes to camping, it is just so useful to be able to switch it on and have the light where I am looking, regardless of what I’m doing. Ever try to cook in the pitch black by firelight? It is so much easier when you are wearing this Clip On Light.

This Light is also perfect for things like interior wall painting. I wear glasses so I like to wear a cap when painting to keep the paint off my lenses, and that makes this Clip On Light perfect so I make sure I don’t miss spots, especially when painting white on white.

The summer storms always knock out our power. Whenever the wind picks up and the thunder starts to rumble, I know I’m going to have a few hours without power. I try to keep my phone, GPS, and tablet topped off, but sometimes the power goes out when things are running dry.
