I have three of these Book Safes. They are my backup to make sure I can quickly and easily grab critical items. My Safes hold my backup keys, emergency cash, and a few other items. Basically everything I need if I need to make a run for it. When the sh*t hits the fan you aren’t going to have a chance to pick up everything you want. If I need to run and have time to grab one item, its going to be this Safe. It has spare keys to vehicles, storage units, and one of my buddies homes. He is a gun nut who happens to have a large stockpile of gear. He has a key to my place as well.
Even after the initial disaster, these Safes can keep your gear safe. After you escape to your bolt hole scavengers are going to pick over your homes and vehicles. Sure they might accidentally stumble on your stash if they pull down your book shelves, but I’ll take the gamble. If I do get the chance to come back to my home after I flee those spare keys just might save my life.
The best way to protect your valuables is to hide them. Because these Book Safes are made with multiple covers, you can store as much gear as you want, mixed in with your regular books. Then all you need to do is hope the scavengers aren’t big readers.
