Survival Axe

This Survival Axe is an all purpose tool that you can keep in your garage, vehicle, and even your office with a bit of subterfuge. I keep one in my garage for those times you just need an Axe to get the job done. Sometimes that is a stubborn bit of vegetation, and others its splitting a few extra logs for the fire pit.

I Keep another Survival Axe in my vehicle. If you see it and ask me why I’ll tell you its for two reasons. The first is that sometimes trees come down on the trail up to the cabin, and its useful to be able to cut larger limbs and trunks so I can pull them out of the way. The second is that the pick end is great to break windows if I need to save someone who is trapped in their vehicle.

If you are willing to get a display case and spray paint the head silver and make a fake little plaque, you can probably get away with keeping this Survival Axe in your office as well. Its an award from the 2014 Lower Albuquerque novice fireman’s challenge. You won first place for opening unlocked doors.

  • Moderate Impact items can save your life, but may be more situational.

  • High Impact items will not only save your life, but will have a large impact on everyday life. Without these items your odds of survival fall.
