Folding Shovel

This Folding Shovel is a true multi tool. I keep one in my vehicle. It folds up takes no space but lets me dig out when I need to. I’ve used it to dig everything from ice, snow, mud, and sand out from around my tires. I keep the second one with my camping gear. I like to go off the beaten trail and that means digging a cat hole when I need to go the bathroom. To be honest, I’ve used this Shovel to dig cat holes while driving as well. There are long stretches of road without rest stops and when you have to go you have to go.

This Shovel is also perfect to dig a fire pit. Obviously when its time to leave this Shovel also lets me make sure my fire is safely out. All important details when hiking and camping in dry weather.

When there is snow on the ground this Shovel is also great at digging down to the ground. That’s important so your fire doesn’t put itself out as well as for survival. Snow is a great insulator and you are much better off being surrounded by it and out of the wind than laying on top of it.

Lasly, this Folding Shovel also makes an excellent weapon. If it comes to hand to hand combat this Shovel works well as a mace and a cutting weapon.

This Electric Winch is a must have for every trail vehicle. If you are going off road this Winch gives you a much needed safety net. Want to ruin your weekend? Heavy Duty Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier

This Heavy Duty Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier is so incredibly useful. I’ve used mine to haul just about everything. That includes everything from groceries, luggage, and grills to furniture and building supplies. It is also perfect for carrying items that may bet messy. When I used to deer hunt I’d use tarps and this Cargo Carrier to make clean up easy. Whip out a hose and this is good to go.

High Power Light Bar

This High Power Light Bar is the perfect edition to every vehicle. If you go off the main roads this is a must have. Headlights are great, but they are lower to the ground, and just don’t provide the same field of view as this Light Bar.

That means better visibility, and longer times to react to whatever your driving up on. All useful things when you are trying to get to your bolt hole as the town below you is being torn apart by Zombies.

As always make sure this Firearm Gun Safe is legal where you live before storing your firearms in it, especially if that is in your vehicle. I love how this Gun Safe makes mounting easy. It gives me flexible, and safe options to store a hand gun anywhere I might need it.

Now that the legal stuff is covered, this is an awesome Gun Safe that lets me know that my gear is responsibly stored and close by. I know it will be there, ready to save my life if I need it. Snatch Block

This Snatch Block makes easy work of heavy loads. Why struggle when you can easily cut your work load in half or more depending on how many Blocks you have. This Snatch Block lets you move loads safely, a must have for off the grid survival. Keep a few Snatch Blocks in your vehicle and be ready for anything.

These are essentially next generation pulleys. The Block let’s the line loop back on itself. A simple explanation is that you have to pull twice as much line two feet to move your object one foot. The benefit is that the weight of the object is divided by the number of lines. At least if friction didn’t exist. Thankfully the benefits with friction are still huge. Just use line that is rated to over the max weight of whatever load you are putting on it.

The trail up to our families cabin is gravel and mud. It is always a roll of the dice if the way will be blocked after a storm. There are lots of trees and I like to let them grow over the road to make it harder to spot using drones. Thankfully these Snatch Blocks mean I can cut the trees into fairly big pieces and drag them out of the way. Without them I’d have to do a lot more cutting.

Ratchet Strap Kit

I always keep a set of these Ratchet Strap Kits in my vehicle. Over the years I’ve donated Ratchet Straps to other drivers on multiple occasions, because I figure I might be saving a life. Who knows, it just might have been a member of my family they were passing when they lost their load. Carrying an unsecured load, even if it is just a 2×6, could still be a deadly missile at highway speeds.

Do you sleep in your vehicle? These Ratchet Straps are a great cheap way to secure your doors. Loop the Straps through the door handles and tighten them enough to keep the doors closed. Cheap, easy, and quick. If someone is going to break your window to get in, at least that gives you a moment to react.

Post disaster, these Ratchet Straps are going to give me the ability to secure more gear and move it. Combined with being able to grab more gear using my Folding Hand Truck and I’m going to have a huge advantage over other survivors scrambling to get as much gear as possible.

This 200W Car Power Inverter is a must have for your vehicle. This Inverter gives me the flexibility to power tons of devices not designed to use the 12V electricity in your vehicle. You can plug gear into this Inverter using both the regular socket, but also the four USB plugs. Want to charge your GPS, Phone, and flashlights on the go? You need this Inverter.

Back when my kids were little we had one of these Power Inverters so they could use those little all in one DVD players on long road trips. Yes, this was before fancy tablets were on the market – I’m old. Folding Hand Truck

I love my Folding Hand Truck. It folds up and fits behind my vehicle seat easily. That means I can take it anywhere easily. I’ve used this Hand Truck to haul cases of water, toolboxes, and boxes full of everything from stuffed animals to new appliances. As I’ve gotten older having a bit of leverage on wheels means I can still move the gear I need to move without hurting my back in the process.

When I need to move heavy gear, this Folding Hand Truck makes life easy.

This Folding Hand Truck has two key features. The first is that it folds up and is so portable. I can easily take it anywhere and because it folds up small I can just carry it pretty much anywhere. The second is those nice big tires. Those tires mean it works just well rolling over sidewalks and pavement as uneven ground. I’ve even used it on gravel without issues.

I use this Hand Truck a ton. Post disaster this Hand Truck is going to get even more use. I know where the local warehouses are. When the world falls apart I will be able to go in and scavenge in bulk. I can load up with water, food, and ammo, and be able to move more gear faster. The more I can scavenge quickly the safer I will be.

This Weatherproof Magnetic Case is perfect to discretely stash gear anywhere there is metal. Want to make sure you have the keys to your storage unit, gate up to the cabin, or any other lock if you need to get out of town quickly? No worries. Put those keys in this Magnetic Case and find any metal object nearby to stash it in. That could be anything from high voltage towers to abandoned cars. Stash it on the way to your bolt hole and you will always have the keys to get inside.

One of my sons constantly locks himself out of his house. I stuck one of these Magnetic Cases onto the steel rims in his outdoor shed. The next time he called me to say he forget his keys I was able to help him without spending $140 bucks on a locksmith.

This Magnetic Case is large enough to hold some credit cards and money as well. I’m not sure how long that will be useful after a massive disaster, but luck favors the prepared doesn’t it?

Finally this Weatherproof Magnetic Case was originally designed to attach a tracker to a vehicle, but it works just as well for all my other purposes as well. If you do need to track someone just make sure you place it on steel frame. It’s not going to go anywhere. Just make sure its for legit purposes like tracking your buddies wife who is stepping out.
