Solar Pendant Lights

I have a wonderful workshop/shed that is at the back of my property. Without these Solar Pendant Lights I would have been forced to pay hundred or thousands of dollars to run a power line out there. These Solar Lights let me put a light wherever I need it. Im looking forward to when I can build a tree fort for grand kids, because you better believe it is going to have solar lights inside.

Because these Solar Pendant Lights also have a motion sensing mode I can put them outside gates and even my shed entrance so that if someone does sneak by I will at least see who it is and what they are doing. It also helps scare off people who are trying to be stealthy. When the lights come on, most people run if they are about to do dirty deeds in the dark.

Do you have a regular camp site? You can put up these Solar Lights and have light wherever you need it. Trust me when I say that using an outhouse by flashlight is much harder than just setting up a Solar Pendant Light.

Solar Pendant Lights Scoring

When it comes to Off The Grid, you can’t go wrong with these Solar Pendant Lights. I keep a few extra sets so when the power goes off during the Zombie Apocalypse my Bolt Hole will still have lights. Throw a few more sets out in the woods on motion sensing mode and you also have an early warning system of inbound biters.

These Solar Lights score a 415/1000. It’s hard to survive if you don’t have light to see what’s going on.

I worked in a chemical plant when I was in my twenties. One of these Full Respirаtor Face Mask saved my vision, and probably my life. To this day I don’t mess with dust, paint thinner/stripper, or any other chemicals unless I’m fully protected. Save your eyes, your lungs, and your health! Wear a Respirаtor if your working with dust, aeorols and chemicals.

This Full Respirаtor Face Mask is a really important layer to my personal safety and defense. I keep one in my garage for doing projects. I keep another in my vehicle for emergencies.

This Evaporative Cooling Towel is a key survival tool when the temperatures rise and there is no air conditioning in sight. Wet it down, twirl in the air, and lay it on the back of your neck to get relief.

YETI Tundra Haul Portable Wheeled Cooler

When it comes to keeping things cold when the temperatures are soaring this YETI Tundra Haul Portable Wheeled Cooler is a must have. Fill it with ice, food, and booze, and then try to open it as infrequently as possible. I’ve had a dozen coolers over my years of hunting and fishing, but this YETI is the last one I’ll ever need. It is built to last and has stood up to all the abuse I’ve thrown at it easily.

Some of the best hunting and fishing is way off the main trail and I have a rule. If I kill it, I’m going to eat it. Thanks to this YETI Tundra Cooler I can bring home everything I bag and nothing goes to waste.

I almost feel bad taking this YETI Tundra Cooler to the beach. The sun doesn’t stand a chance and by mid afternoon when other people are picking warm beers out of their inferior coolers I still have ice cold drinks and plenty of ice to make a few mixers.

Even though I live an hour from the coast, we still lose power due to hurricanes and storms at least once a year. We keep a few one gallon jugs in our freezer, and when the power goes out we load up the Cooler with the ice and food. Our fridge is no where near as insulated as this YETI Tundra Cooler and leaving the food in the fridge just means it will get warm within a day and we will have to throw it out. To be honest, this YETI Tundra Cooler has probably already paid for itself with the food we haven’t had to toss when the power goes out.

Sun Canopy Shade Sail

When the sun is bearing down on you and won’t relent you need this Sun Canopy Shade Sail. It is perfect to protect your deck, patio, and outdoor cooking area. If you have a pool these are perfect to create shaded areas for the little ones.

The thing I really love about these Shade Sails is how portable they are. I have set them up in at least a dozen different locations over the years. I’ve shaded temporary shelters to keep the sun from making my tent feel like an oven. I’ve also put up a Shade Sail to keep my nephews from getting burnt to a crisp while they worked on getting a four wheeler back on the trail. Whenever we go camping I throw one in my vehicle just in case I need it.

I have a friend in California who puts a Sun Shade over his garden. It is just so sunny that without the Sun Shade his plants get cooked before they can grow. The point is if you have anywhere with too much sun, you can fix it.

What will you find at my bolt hole if your lucky enough to find it post Apocalypse? You will see Shade Sails over our outdoor kitchen and guard stations. Another Shade Sail will sit over the maintenance area. If I’m lucky enough to still have ammunition left, you might just find me there cleaning a few guns.

Cooling UPF 50 Bucket Hat

There is nothing worse than the sun in your eyes, except maybe sunburn on your nose. Which makes this Cooling UPF 50 Bucket Hat a must have to survive the sun. The brim on this UPF 50 Bucket Hat is perfect to keep the sun, and the rain off my glasses. If you have been to Florida, you know how quickly those two things can alternate.

I have one Hat that has now been to India twice, Florida six or seven times, and various other Caribbean islands. So I am confident that if you get these Cooling UPF 50 Bucket Hats they will last. I also like that I can scrunch it up and put it in my pack without having to worry about destroying it.

I spend a good bit of time out in the woods, and I like the “bronze green” Cooling UPF 50 Bucket Hat for blending in. When I’m just having fun I prefer the “Sea Palm” Hat. The bordered edge looks cool in my humble opinion.

Don’t wait until your out in the sun with burnt retinas before you think about buying a UPF 50 Bucket Hat. Plan ahead and keep that sun off your face. Once your out in the sun burning its already too late. That goes double for when a natural disaster, or the Zombie Apocalypse strikes. It’s going to be too late to gear up once you actually need the gear. Plan ahead, make sure you have the gear you need to survive now!

This 9 Person Instant Cabin Tent is a must have. Warm, or cold weather, having shelter from the elements is important. It may seem like an odd bit of gear for the warm weather but trust me when I say it is a must have. Instinct will have you trying to sleep in the shade, and that usually means under trees or other cover. This Cabin Tent provides protection from ticks, bugs, and falling leaves and pine needles. There is nothing worse than waking up to find yourself covered in ticks or leaches. Yes, they both fall from trees.

Hiking Shorts

Having the right clothing is critical to survival and these Hiking Shorts are crucial warm weather survival gear. When the temperatures soar, staying cool isn’t just about being comfortable, it is also about survival. That makes these Shorts a must have for everyday use, playing sports, and most importantly, hiking and camping.

One of the things I love about these Hiking Shorts is how well they wick sweat and dry quickly. That’s great if your sweating, and even better if your lucky enough to find places to swim while you are hiking. These Shorts dry off quickly allowing me to swim on hikes without having to carry extra clothing.

That same ability to dry quickly makes them perfect for those high output activities that leave you soaked with sweat. There is nothing worse than walking around as your clothing slides around you on your own sweat. Thankfully these Shorts dry quickly and are so comfortable you can wear them for days. If I’m on a long hike carrying any extra weight isn’t an option. I’d rather carry more water or food and with these these Hiking Shorts I can just rinse them off every few days and they are tough enough to take the constant wear and tear of daily use.

Warm Weather Sleeping Bag

When I went camping and hiking a lot, I never took a tent with me for short trips in the summer. Anything less than a week and I’m fine with just a tarp on the ground and my Warm Weather Sleeping Bag. If it is pouring rain I look for some high ground and use my tarp to create a rain fly or just keep walking. There is something invigorating about walking through the woods in the rain.

At just over a pound and a half, this Warm Weather Sleeping Bag is perfect to add a bit of comfort to your hike, and even though it might be hot during the day, its not uncommon for the overnight temperatures drop enough to make a Sleeping Bag a must have item. Who wants to wake up shivering while waiting for the sun to rise enough to warm you up a bit. Sleep well, keep the bugs off you, and stay warm in your Warm Weather Sleeping Bag.

As a bonus, this is small and light enough just to clip to the outside of your pack if your already loaded up with food, water, and ammunition. It is also small enough that I throw one in my vehicle for long road trips. If I get the chance to sleep under the stars, I will take that any day over a barely cleaned hotel room.

We lost power this week after someone drove into a telephone pole. After texting my boys that we were out of power, one of the first responses was asking me if I was going to sleep in the yard. What can I say, my boys know me.

Warm Weather Sleeping Bag Scoring

I love this Sleeping Bag because of how small and light it is. It is easy to clip onto my pack or grab if I’m thinking about spending a night out in the woods to get a jump on the morning hunt. Snake Gaiters

If you spend time on the trail these Snake Gaiters can save your life. I like to hike off the beaten trail and see what nature looks like. That means coming into contact with the creatures that live there. I love snakes, but I don’t want to get bitten by one! When it comes to insurance, nothing beats these Snake Gaiters to keep me on the trail. Because the alternative might just be a helicopter ride to the closest hospital.

I’ve seen a timber rattlesnakes twice in my life. The first time I was climbing a rocky slope in Pennsylvania while hiking the Appalachian trail. I was looking for a discrete location to go to the bathroom, and when I thought I’d found the spot I looked over to see a curled up rattler on the rocks. Thankfully it was early and the sun hadn’t warmed the snake up yet. Needless to say I found another spot to use the privy and have respected the rattler ever since. The second was while hiking in New York. That snake let us know it was not happy when we came up onto it.

Thankfully everyone in my group is experience hikers wearing Snake Gaiters. We always tease each other that between us we’ve seen ten or twelve rattlers, and a hundred that saw us. It is the ones you didn’t see that you really have to worry about.
