So this is a real thing apparently. This doesn’t look comfy to me, but what do I know.

There are some basic rules about firearms.

One of fundamental rules is to treat every weapon like its loaded.

My concern here is that this kid might walk away thinking its okay to shoulder that weapon if she sees it on a table or otherwise and look down that scope.

I’m hoping the kid was part of a long gun safety talk. Fingers crossed…

The apocalypse is over. Humanity won a hard fought war against the undead, and paid a high price. The virus that caused the outbreaks has been confined to a single island where the wealthy go to hunt the undead in controlled kills. The war is over, it is time to go to The Rezort and kill the undead for good.

For Melanie, she is hoping The Rezort can help her get over her post traumatic stress and finally deal with her memories of the undead war. Of course, not everything goes as planned, and Melanie finds herself in the middle of a zombie war zone.

The Rezort was really well done with good action scenes, good acting, and a novel concept. If you haven’t had a chance to to see The Rezort yet, it is well worth watching and scored a respectable 72/100.

If you are in Delaware and near a McGlynns Pub, this Tuna Sashimi Salad was amazing. I was a little nervous ordering it at a an Irish Pub but it didn’t disappoint. Well worth a visit.

Has the internet ruined me?

SNL knocked it out of the park with this one. I couldn’t stop laughing. The looks on the guys faces was priceless.

That’s a toy right?

It looks like its an airsoft gun, maybe? But its missing the orange tip.

Guess what, if we can look twice, or three times, imagine a cop knocks on the door because a neighbor heard a noise. Guns aren’t toys, and playing with something like this very real looking (and possibly very real) weapon puts people in danger.

Treat weapons for what they are. Destructive, deadly, and useful tools. But they are never props for social media, or for looking cool.

Be safe.

I live in a small town. Some parts of that are quite nice. It is usually fairly quiet and I’ve seen deer in my side yard a few times. The downside is that there are a few “good old boys” in town and I feel like I always have to be careful with what I say. I generally stay quiet, because some of them live on my block, or worked where my son’s had summer jobs, and were in management positions over them.

What makes me write this? Just one of those casual episodes of hatred. I stopped to get gas and the middle aged Caucasian man pumping my gas said he was having a rough day. I told him I hoped it got better, which apparently was enough to make him vent his story.

The short version is that his sister, his son, and his son’s girlfriend, and their baby moved back into his mother’s house (where he also lived), and he got kicked out for claiming the girlfriend was drugging the baby.

Which is when he literally said “I’m not a racist, but I hate Mexicans.” He then proceeded to say that his son’s girlfriend (said Mexican) didn’t even use the bathroom, but peed into coffee cups and defecated into coffee cans – not because they didn’t have a bathroom, but because that was what “Dirty Mexican’s” did. Of course he brought up the wall as well.

He then screwed my gas cap on and I drove away, feeling sad and guilty. Sad because someone hated someone because of where they were born. Guilty because I didn’t say something stronger for fear of the social consequences.

I live in a small town. I have a son in high school. It is sad to say that I don’t want to “rock” the boat because I’m worried about what these same racist, bigoted small town individuals might do.

How sad is that?

	The Red Summer has begin. Rylie Sampson was just trying to fill her belly. She had no idea she wasn’t the only one trying to feed their hunger.
