I was pleasantly surprised with how well made Dance of the Dead was. It was campy, fun, and had lots of zombies in it, making this a perfect Sunday afternoon Zombie movie.
It’s almost time for prom, and the town’s teens are excited, or dreading, prom, depending on their social status. Little do they know that prom isn’t the biggest thing that’s about to go down.
The local nuclear power plant has leaked something into the ground, something that brings the dead back to life.
The good…
- Well done special effects.
- An actual story! There was an actual plot to follow.
- The dancing/music bit wasn’t overdone. It was just right.
- Zombie frogs, need I say more?
- The gun toting C4 packing gym teacher. I think I had him in high school actually.
- The dork gets to kiss the hottie.
- The other members of the sci fi club look like they might be getting lucky.
The bad…
- The hottie was already bitten and bites his tongue off as the dork is kissing her.
Dance of the Dead isn’t the best zombie movie ever made, but it was entertaining and enjoyable, which earned it a 72/100.
