Resident Evil: The Final Chapter starts just after the end of Retribution, but skipped the part I was really looking forward to. At the end of Retribution we see Alice at the whitehouse, surrounded by T Virus zombies, but when The Final Chapter starts, the fight is already over, and everyone is dead, well, everyone but Alice.
Instead of seeing that epic battle, Alice is given one last directive from the Red Queen. If she can get back to Raccoon City and release the T Virus antidote, everything that has been infected will die.
There are a series of awesome zombie horde fights, but then the movie falls back into the “Big Bad Guy” versus small group of heroes, and there honestly weren’t any more good zombie scenes at that point.
I was really hoping to see more zombie hordes, and the few brief scenes I did get left me wanting more, which hurt The Final Chapter’s score. There were some good fight scenes, but the lack of wide spread zombies really hurt this movie for me, which scored a 60/100.
