Carriers has some big name actors. Chris Pine plays Brian, the leader of the small group of survivors. A virus has devastated the planet and the survivors are deathly scared of being exposed to the incurable pathogen.
As the small group of survivors make their way downt he highway they come across Frank, played by Christopher Meloni of Law & Order fame. Frank needs help, he has a young daughter, and the girl is sick.
The movie is well acted, and I was really hoping it was taking a turn for the Zombie, especially here:
Unfortunately this is a different type of apocalypse movie.
The world is ending, but there are no Zombies. Survivors struggle and fight each other while dealing with all the standard deathly pandemic tropes. There is hope of a cure. The secretly infected who hides it from their fellow survivors. There is not a lot of new or novel approaches here.
Carriers Scoring
Sadly, at the end of the day Carriers is not a Zombie Movie, it is just a post apocalyptic movie about a virus that has killed off most of the population, and how the survivors struggle. This means that Carriers is getting a 0/100 and is going into the Just Bad category as it isn’t a Zombie Movie at all.
