I really struggled with scoring How To Kill A Zombie. Some of the dialogue is really bad. The other issues is that this feels like an homage to Zombieland. But when does a homage that isn’t credited more than just being inspired by someone else’s art? The creators of the movie clearly saw Zombieland. The question was did they intentionally copy parts of the more popular movie. The the son makes lists, very similar to Columbus in Zombieland.
The general humor and more seems almost crosses the line. They might swerve onto it at times, but they don’t blatantly cross it. At least in my opinion. The dialogue is C+ and the special effects are a B-. Still, I found something about the Movie to be fun and quirky. It was just a little rough around the edges.
How to Kill a Zombie Scoring
It was a little rough around the edges. But…How To Kill A Zombie had enough jokes hit and was fun enough to score a 66/100. There were times I was laughing, and times I was cringing. I recommend having a few drinks while watching this Rainy Day Movie.
