After watching Zombie Road, my biggest questions is…what was this supposed to be?
As a college project, I applaud it. It’s just really hard to tell what its supposed to be.
The opening scene loops, then a radio announcer gives the movie a touch of direction. We also get a fight scene that ends with a little twist.
According to IMDB, this is the only media the star, Aileen McGuinness has been in. For some strange reason, I couldn’t stop thinking that this little project was all created. Was the writer/producer, Michael Hennessy was just trying to get a date with the girl. Do I have any reason to think that? No, I was just trying to figure out why this little short was created. The two reasons I came up with were, trying to get a date, and college project. I guess it could have been either or, or both.
Zombie Road Scoring
Zombie Road is a little over 20 minutes, but a lot of it is the same footage is repeated. I would have tightened it up and made it 10 minutes. Cutting out the repeats would have created a better end product. If this was a college project I’d have given it a 75/100. But as a stand alone short I’m giving it 22/100. One point per minute of my life this took to watch.
FYI, if you like the Toy Shotgun, I’m pretty sure they just spray painted one of these Toy Shotguns black.
