Sadly, Afflicted comes up when I search for Zombie Movies, but a Zombie Movie it is not.
Even the teaser description sounds like it could have been for a Zombie Movie.
Two best friends see their trip of a lifetime take a dark turn when one of them is struck by a mysterious affliction. Now, in a foreign land, they race to uncover the source before it consumes him completely.

Afflicted is more of a buddy drama with a touch of horror. I guess the algorithm is guessing that if I like Zombie Movies I must like horror movies in general? That might be true for some people, but I actually don’t like most horror movies. My general rule is that if I can shoot it and kill it I’m happy. I don’t like the evil spirit, possession style horror films.
