I honestly don’t know how I missed Fido for so long. Fido takes place in a 1950 ish timeline where space radiation causes the dead to come back as Zombies and eat people – but no worries ZomCon has created a collar that turns zombies into, well, slaves.
Fido is really a store about a kid who is bullied and who’s dad mental illness is hurting the family, at least until Fido comes into the picture, and teaches them how to be a family again.
Fido is funny, creepy (zombie girlfriends), and awesome (zombie girlfriends) and the movie is a little bit of a unicorn. It is actually a great movie to watch with your friends and family who don’t like classic Zombie Movies, but also satisfies that zombie itch for those of us who like classic zombie gore.
Which is why Fido earned itself a very respectable 82/100.
