The Plague (2006)

The Plague really pushes its association to Clive Barker, who was a producer. If you love Clive Barker’s work, which is iconic, you might come in with high hopes for the movie, which just might set you up for disappointment.

The Plague

The premise is simple. For unknown reasons all the world’s children have gone into a coma. Ten years later our main character comes home after doing some time, just when all those kids decide to wake up – and they are pissed.

If the writers had stopped there, and just told a survival story, this would have been a better movie. Instead, the Zombies do some thinking, including using weapons, and the writers tried to make a bigger, broader point – they just didn’t do it well.

The Plague Scoring

The Plague scores a 42/100, making it a Rainy Day Movie, but it is at the lower end of the scale, so save it for a very Rainy Day.
