Pocket Duct Tape

I always have Pocket Duct Tape on me when I go out. It has all the utility of Duct Tape but is small enough to fit in my pocket. You never know when your going to need to make a quick fix. I’ve used this Duct Tape to tape windows up as well as tape plastic over windows. In a pinch I can use it to get a window down if someone locks their keys in their vehicle too. If I need to restrain someone until the police arrive, this Duct Tape is the perfect way to do it.

In a pinch I’ve used Duct Tape to do everything from close wounds to point the way for those behind me.

In a survival situation I can use this Duct Tape to tape a flashlight to my shotgun. Or to make a quick spear from a map handle and a knife.

This Water Bottle Safe is perfect for everyone who wants to keep their money and credit cards safe. I odn’t like putting my spare cash and cards in hotel safes. Everyone knows the hotel staff can get into those without an issue. I much prefer to keep my money with me. But I don’t want to make an easy target for pick pockets or thief! My solution is to put my spare money and credit cards in this Water Bottle Safe and then carrying it with me wherever I go. Even if I get mugged the odds that they are going to take my water bottle are small. Just make sure that when you need to get more more out you hit a restroom and go into a stall.

Biometric Locking Gun Safe

I love this Biometric Locking Gun Safe. I like to keep a firearm close to my home desk, but I also don’t like leaving firearms anywhere an untrained user might happen on them, which makes this Gun Safe the perfect solution to my problem. All my children are adults. I don’t have grandkids yet but we do have friends with children. My siblings have been kind enough to give me a horde of nieces and nephews though. I don’t take any risk with my firearms. All of them are locked up at all times. The good news is that doesn’t mean I can’t get to them when and where I might need them.

I can mount this Locking Gun Safe wherever I want. The Biometric Lock means that even though my firearm is locked up I can get to it quickly. I won’t have to worry about punching a key code if there is an emergency. I can press my finger to the sensor and get access to my weapon in a heartbeat.

Be safe, it just takes a single lapse, for a split second, to destroy lives.

Tire Foam Diversion Safe

This Tire Foam Diversion Safe is the perfect addition to every vehicle. I suggest putting it in a tool bag in your vehicle with a regular can of Tire Foam. Having Hidden Survival Gear is all about hiding useful survival gear in plain sight. It drastically increases the odds of the gear you need being there when you need it. There are a ton of things I wouldn’t want to leave in my vehicle without this Diversion Safe. The obvious one is cash. I like to keep some emergency funds on hand for the unexpected. This Diversion Safe is the perfect way to store it safely in my vehicle while drastically reducing the risk it gets stollen.

Layers, layers, layers. Any survival plan needs a backup plan. Once you have all your backup to your backups completed, you start to work on the backup to the backup to the backup, which is exactly what I use this Tire Foam Diversion Safe for. I have an old shed on the corner of my property. Hidden on a shelf full of old spray paint, quarts of oil and random parts from two decades of mowers, blowers, and chainsaws is a can like this Tire Foam Diversion Safe with a few keys and a small stash of money in it. It’s not a lot, but its enough to get me into my house, a gun safe, and a vehicle. What else do I need?

Back Seat Gun Rack

This Back Seat Gun Rack may not be legal where you are, so make sure it is before you put your long guns in it. Now, with the legal stuff out of the way, this is lightweight, quick to deploy (or move between vehicles) and is perfect to carry the firepower you need while on the move. When your vehicle is full of friends and family heading out to enjoy a day of hunting or shooting clays this is the perfect way to safely store their rifles and shotguns.

Pre disaster this is a great hunting and shooting Back Seat Gun Rack. It lets you (where its legal) quickly and easily install it and move it between vehicles. That means you can safely store your long guns while driving to the range or the hunt. I have a buddy with a quad cab truck. He can fit one of these Gun Racks on both rows of seats – which is perfect because we’ve squeezed six people in his vehicle so we don’t have to take two vehicles out into the boonies to hunt.

Construction/Framing Nails

Construction/Framing Nails are like stocking up on bread and milk before a snow storm. You can never have too many boxes of Framing Nails on hand. It means being able to do emergency home repairs, or more importantly, board up windows and doors when you are about to get hit by a natural, or unnatural, disaster.

I live on low ground. We’ve had one really bad flood after hurricane Sandy in 2012 and we were asked to leave our homes. We were lucky that the water came right up to our front door then stopped. I saw what happened in other parts of the country after similar events. Looters and horrible amounts of damage. If I’m running from my house because of a storm you better believe I’m boarding up every door and window. Want to loot my house? You are going to need to work for it.

If the next disaster is the big one – these Construction/Framing Nails are going to let me secure my home as well as create nail strips. If you ignore the danger signs on the long drive up to my cabin you just might find that your tires are full of nail holes. Just remember – that is a last resort for when the world is falling apart!

Bridge of the Doomed (2022)

Bridge of the Doomed kicks off with soldiers being attacked by the Undead. After some initial carnage the major plot is revealed. A group of soldiers is sent to hold a bridge. The soldiers need to hold it so the rest of the army can use it to retake the ground once things stabilize.

The movie appears to be a low budget offering. There are lots of soldiers and lots of brand new uniforms. It looks like the directors raided an army surplus store and didn’t bother to make any of the clothing look like it had been worn before.

Bridge of the Doomed is at the lower end of the Rainy Day Movie scale and scores 44/100.

There are so many reasons why. The first is the really bad acting. Both the dialogue and the acting is C- at best. There are also a lot of very unfit, heavyset soldiers. How did the fat guys pass the Army Physical Fitness Test?

The other item that cost the movie major points was how slow the middle was. It started off with a little bit of action and then went into plot mode. When the plot isn’t so good, that doesn’t help much.

Low budget movies are great sometimes. They just need to be true to the genre. This could have been a much better movie, even with its low budget. It just needed more Zombies, and not to have so many stretches in the middle without any Zombies at all.

Then there is the swamp monster living in the cave. Come on, I signed up for a Zombie Movie!

Oh sweet, Chicken Wire, how many ways can I use you to solve problems? I’ve used this Wire Mesh to close off the bottom of my privacy fence to make sure my dogs can’t squeeze out of low points. I’ve also used it at my brother’s house to secure his eves from evil squirrels who wanted to live in his attic rent free. Another buddy of mine lives in a not so great part of town but thanks to this Wire Mesh and punched bar stock we made something that even crackheads couldn’t get through. Every first floor window was covered and to this day he hasn’t had a successful break in.

It is that kind of security that this Chicken Wire can bring you. Of course you can make chicken coups, but more importantly, you can secure just about any building.

Lumber Storage Rack

I use this Lumber Storage Rack to keep all the wood in my garage organized. It is perfect to store and organize everything you have lying about. It not only cleans up your garage, but quite honestly can save you money if you are like me. In the past I would buy stock just because it was easier than searching through my shed for a piece of wood I might have. Now I keep everything organized on this Storage Rack and while I do keep some things like 2x4s ready to go even if I don’t “need” them, this Storage Rack has saved me from buying stock I already have.

Pre disaster I love how organized this Storage Rack keeps things. It makes projects easier and less frustrating. It also means if I do need to hit the lumber yard I can grab other things I might need by looking at where the gaps are in my Rack.

Post, or during a disaster I know where the lumber I need is to board up my windows and secure more doors. That makes this Storage Rack worth every penny I spent on it.
